Ryan Burns and Devyn McPhaull are the SnackBoyz, but their name has nothing to do with snacks. The duo met at the Nebraska Furniture Mart, where they both work and later on, they decided to make music together. When they found out about the NFM Anthem Theme Song Contest, they submitted their entry despite having only worked together music-wise for only a month. Their song made it to the top 10 entries on the contest and it was a raving hit amongst the crowd, so much so that they landed an interview with The Pitch, an independent culture magazine based in Kansas City.

In this episode of I Am Home Podcast, Tyler Wisecup, Becca Sudbeck, and Hilary Woltemath talks with NFM Anthem theme song contest quarter-finalists, Ryan Burns and Devyn McPhaull of the SnackBoyz about how their duo started, their inspiration for their song entry, and the role that music plays in their lives. Stay tuned.
